Wellread collects the information you provide when creating an account (name, email address), your reading activity within the app (books saved, reading streaks, swipe history), and standard usage analytics (crash reports, feature usage). We do not sell your data.
Your data is used to provide and improve the app — personalizing book recommendations, maintaining your reading history, and enabling book club features. Your email is used for account management and optional reading reminders.
When you use book chat or AI recommendations, your questions and reading history are sent to Anthropic's API via our server. Your data is not used to train AI models. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
When you tap a purchase link, you are directed to Amazon, Bookshop.org, or another third-party retailer. Wellread may earn a commission on purchases. Those retailers' privacy policies apply to transactions made on their platforms.
Your data is stored locally on your device and, once Firebase is enabled, in Google's Firebase infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. For questions, contact alikoudis@likoudislegacy.com.
Wellread is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
